EAST TEXAS / LOUISIANA

The East Texas/Louisiana Beefmaster Marketing Group is a group of Beefmaster cattle breeders whose primary objective is selling our product. We are diverse in cattle type and operations but are united through this group to market our cattle. I believe the quality and preparation of cattle consigned to our annual sale in Crockett, Texas is as high as can be found in any consignment sale anywhere in the Beefmaster breed. Our members are working together and are reaping the benefits.

Perhaps the most challenging issue I see for the beef industry, the Beefmaster breed and for ET/LBMG is how we adjust to change. There will be change and how we adjust will affect our degree of success. This marketing group has been around a long time and we have seen many changes. Fortunately, enough adjustments have been made to not only keep this group operating but to also make it stronger.

At a time when association memberships are declining, the membership of ET/L is growing. Our membership is the highest it’s been in many years and our members are involved. We must continue to grow and strengthen. Programs such as our Newsletter, new member invitation letters and special event socials have proven successful and our goal is to continue and enhance these programs.

I’ve told you a little about our group and I hope you find the information helpful. As we adjust to change, our goal will be to remain a strong source of support for our members, our customers and the Beefmaster breed. Our future will require new ideas as well as an ability to adjust to change and we can use your help! Please accept this invitation to join our group as we prepare for the future.
